Dear guests, to have a peaceful and enjoyable holiday at Camping Stella Maris, please follow our rules and regulations laid out below. In particular, we turn your attention to rules under 2, 3, 4 and 8; since in case of their violation the campsite management is entitled to immediately evict guests. All terms of the House rules used in a specific gender are to be understood as gender neutral and include both female and male individuals.
1. CAMPSITE ENTRY
1.1 A sample of these rules and regulations is given to each guest at the reception desk and implies a complete acceptance of the rules contained therein.
1.2 Only the people staying in the camp can enter the campsite. All others must request for permission at the reception desk. The reception staff reserves the right to refuse entry and remove guests whose behaviour violates the peaceful and pleasant stay of other guests. The same applies for people who do not adhere to the respectful behaviour to others, social etiquette, and decent behaviour. The account holder shall be held responsible for all damages caused by the holder or an accompanying person.
2. CHECK-IN
2.1 All guests must check in at the reception upon arrival based on the reservation and provide a personal identification document, plus, they also need to report all the services used according to the price list. The camp staff controls the pitches on a daily basis, and during such check-ups they are entitled to ask the guest to provide their identification number, application form and personal ID card. For each non-reported guest and non-reported service a fine shall be charged for incurred damages and endangering the safety of other guests in the amount as stated in the additional services price list. Failure to report one or more items shall be considered sufficient grounds for eviction. Furthermore, the reception should be notified of any changes on the pitch (related to pricing items). In case of a discrepancy, these services shall be charged from the check-in date.
2.2 Membership cards of various camping associations on the basis of which you are entitled to certain discounts should be provided immediately at check-in, as subsequent discounts can not be applied.
2.3 New guests can check-in for pitches between noon and 10.00 pm, and for mobile homes between 4 pm and 10 pm. Guests arriving later will have to wait in the reception area parking lot until the next day at 7.00 am, which is charged according to the official price list.
2.4 All guests that checked-in shall receive an application form and an identification number by the reception staff. Camping staff has the right to ask for the application form and the identification number at any time.
2.5 Up to 6 (six) persons (including children) can be accommodated on the pitch.
3. CHOOSING PITCHES AND ACCOMMODATION
3.1 The receptionist selects a pitch. Any desires and possible changes must be reported to the reception desk. Accommodation on the pitch is possible only after confirmation by the reception desk (because it is possible that the selected pitch is already booked). In pre-season and post-seasons you should pay particular attention to the instructions received by reception staff because it is possible that not all parts of the camp are open during your stay and not all toilette facilities may be in use.
3.2 The accommodation on the pitch, setting of the tent and awning is allowed from 7.00 to 22.00. No digging, planting, fencing or any permanent alterations to the layout of the pitch is allowed. After your departure the pitch must be reverted to its original state.
3.3 The camp management reserves the right to intervene and relocate, especially in cases where persons accommodated on the plot, as well as their equipment and belongings, are at risk due to, but not limited to, falling trees or similar hazards.
3.4 The identification number you received at check-in should be placed in a visible place.
3.5 The guest is obliged to place all his property within the boundaries of the allocated pitch. If during regular control a part of the property is placed outside that area, the guest is obliged to move his property within the boundaries of the pitch, and the reception staff will retroactively charge the price for the additional pitch according to the valid price list since their check-in day.
3.6 If the guest’s car, despite being the only car, is not parked within the boundaries of the allocated pitch, the previous provision will apply and it shall be charged as an additional car, according to the valid price list.
4. NIGHT REST (from 24.00 to 7.00) AND DAILY REST (from 14.00 to 16.00)
4.1 During the daily rest (from 14.00 to 16.00) guests need to turn down radio, music and TV so as not to interfere with other guests. Cars and other motor vehicles should be used as little as possible in that period.
4.2 From 24.00 to 7.00 there should be complete silence. During this period, it is not permitted to use motor vehicles.
4.3 In case a guest arrives in the camp during the night rest, he/she can stay at the night parking lot using all available terminals and toilette facilities near the reception according to the official price list.
5. VISITS
5.1 The registered guest must announce a visit.
5.2 Visitors coming to see friends or families in the camp must park their vehicles at the entrance parking lot and should register at the camp reception desk. At check-in, they will receive a guest camp pass to be shown when they leave the camp. A guest pass can only be requested by an adult camp guest, who shall accept all responsibility for their guests.
5.3 Visitors can stay in the camp for up to two hours. If they stay longer, they shall be charged according to the current individual price list at that time.
5.4 Visitation hours are from 8:00 to 21:00.
6. CHILDREN AND MINORS
6.1 Minors can only stay in the camp with an adult who takes responsibility for them.
6.2 Parents or persons accompanying a minor shall be deemed liable for any damage or accidents caused by minors during their stay in the camp.
6.3 Children under the age of 10 can use the pool and other facilities at the campsite only with an adult who shall be considered responsible for them.
7. PETS
7.1 Pets must be registered at check-in. There is an extra charge for pets according to the current price list of the camp. The campsite management reserves the right to charge a fee in case of failure to register a pet according to the current price list.
Pets must have a valid pet passport.
7.2 Pets that may disturb guests or put them in danger are not allowed. Camp staff may refuse stay to guests with pets considered dangerous and aggressive.
7.3 Pets must not be left alone in the accommodation unit. Accommodation of pets in mobile homes is allowed only in the specially designated areas on the map.
Pets are not allowed to stay around the reception, pool area and the restaurant area.
While walking in public areas, dogs must be kept on a leash and under their owner’s supervision.
7.4 Pets can only swim on the specially designated beach. Bathing among other people is strictly prohibited, except in the case of a therapy assistance dog.
7.5 Pets can only be showered in their specially designated showers. Showering in places intended for other guests shall be penalized.
7.6 Pets must not disrupt order and peace at the campsite in any way. Owners are obliged to clean up after their pets and shall be held responsible for their pets’ actions.
Any damage caused by a pet shall be charged to its owner according to the current price list.
8. BURNING FIRE AND BARBECUING
8.1 Burning a fire anywhere in the camp, beach or other areas is prohibited by law.
8.2 Barbecues are allowed in the designated places marked on the campsite plan, with the use of the appropriate safe barbecue. When barbecuing, be careful not to disturb the neighbours and do not endanger yourself or others.
9. VEHICLE USE
9.1 Camping speed limitation is 20 km/h. Pedestrians have an advantage in the campsite traffic over the vehicles at the campsite.
9.2 In order to not disturb other guests, the use of a vehicle in the camp is prohibited from 24.00 to 7.00. All guests arriving or departing during this time period must keep their vehicles in the parking lot in front of the reception.
9.3 Bike and motorbike races or any dangerous driving is prohibited. Driving is not allowed after 24.00.
10. WASTE WATERS AND WASTE
10.1 According to the Waste-water Regulations, discharge of waste-waters on pitches is prohibited. Use of appropriate waste water tanks is mandatory.
10.2 Waste-water storage tanks may only be emptied in chemical toilet outlets designated in the toilette facilities.
10.3 By properly separating waste, we help protect the environment. Garbage and waste should be disposed of in bags and thrown into appropriate containers and cans found along the paths and other places around campsite. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping the campsite clean.
11. WATER SUPPLY AND WASHING
11.1 Water is drinkable in all campsite areas. Water is a precious commodity, so please use it sparingly.
11.2 Sinks should only be used for washing dishes and other kitchen utensils, while clothes should be washed in the laundry.
11.3 Please leave the toilette facilities and laundry areas clean and tidy after use.
11.4 Water connection to the pitch may only be used to draw water.
11.5 Car washing in the campsite is only allowed at the designated location (car wash).
12. POWER SUPPLY
12.1 Using non-grounded outlets and cables is forbidden. The campsite management has the right to refuse power supply to any guest whose electrical fittings do not comply with the requirements. Electrical cabinet door should be kept closed.
12.2 Report any faults to the reception desk. The only person who can make repairs on electrical installations in the camp is the camp electrician.
12.3 In case of 24-hour absence or longer, the guest is obliged to switch off all electrical equipment from the main network due to safety reasons. The camp shall not be liable for damages in the event of a power shortage.
13. BOATS AND WINDSURFING
13.1 Anchoring and berthing of boats on the beach is prohibited.
13.2 The owners of the boats are obliged to report their vessels to the harbour master’s office in Umag. They are obliged to use the designated ramp for boat launching.
13.3 Gliding is prohibited up to 300 meters from the shore. In this area you must use paddles or sail at minimum engine speed.
13.4 Guests wishing to surf on a board must enter the sea at the designated location and are not allowed to sail within a distance of 100 meters from the shore.
13.5 Failure to comply with Rules 13.3 and 13.4 is subject to strict fines according to the laws of the Republic of Croatia.
14. LEAVING AND TRANSFERING ITEMS
14.1 Camping equipment left by a guest in the camp without the written permission of the campsite management shall be deemed deserted by its owners. No liability is assumed for permanent loss or damage to the abandoned equipment.
14.2 Guests who leave their equipment for another family or family members must first notify the receptionist who may accept such transfer of items or may request the pitch to be emptied. The family to whom the equipment has been left for must check-in at the reception desk and choose a pitch (or shall be assigned one).
15. INSURANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY
15.1 The campsite management disclaims any liability for theft, accident or other damage suffered by persons or property. There is no liability for damage caused by weather, fire, or any other force majeure event.
15.2 Valuable things can be deposited in the designated safe vaults at the reception desk. The use of the safe vault at the reception is charged.There is a safe vault in the mobile home as well.
15.3 The campsite management shall not be held liable for guest injuries inside the camp.
16. SAFETY
16.1 Check where the emergency exits are located. If you notice any event endangering the health and life of guests or camp staff report it immediately to the reception desk or call 112.
16.2 Electrical installations, piping and gas equipment in the guests’ camping equipment must function properly. Camping equipment must contain a portable fire extinguisher with a minimum of 2 kg of dry extinguishing powder.
16.3 In the space between the camping gear there should not be any obstacles and the space must be clean and tidy. The minimum distance between the camping equipment and the adjacent vehicle or camping gear is 2 m. Move the barbecue and cookers at least 2 m from the adjacent tent.
17. PAYMENT
17.1 The bill for pitches must be settled 48 hours before departure, and for mobile homes it must be settled at check-in, on arrival date. The cash desk at the reception is open from 7.00 to 22.00. When paying, the guest must submit their application form, return the identification number and key. The fee for lost identification number and/or key shall be charged according to the valid price list.
17.2 Any notice regarding payment shall be given to the guests at check-in.
17.3 In case of an interrupted stay, the guest is obliged to settle their account on each departure and arrival.
18. DEPARTURE
18.1 On the departure day, mobile homes must be vacated by 10 am, and pitches must be emptied, cleaned and tidied, i.e. brought to their original state until noon. In case of departure after 12.00 we shall charge one more day.
18.2 Guests that need to leave the camp before 7.00 must park on the lot next to the reception area before 24.00 the previous night and settle the bill the day before departure.
